Og says: it’s World Toilet Day on 19 November

Here at Drumond Park HQ we earn a crust creating popular and silly games about trolls on toilets.

But with around 4.5 billion people in the world living without a clean and safe household toilet, we’re clear that we’re in a somewhat privileged position to do so.

World Toilet Day was devised earlier this decade. Co-ordinated by the United Nations, it aims to raise awareness of sanitation issues in developing countries. Last year the UK’s own WaterAid charity ran a great campaign in schools, giving kids the impetus to get involved in all sorts of ways (and tapping into the fact that – of course – for our own kids, POO IS AMUSING).

This year’s theme is ‘Waste Water’ – head to the official website to see what’s happening around the world, and why we in the UK shouldn’t be too complacent, especially if we live near a railway track.
