The Fast Talking Christmas Game!

2-8 PLAYERS AGES 12+

WHAT'S IN THE BOX:

55x Cards
2x Jigsaws

1x Sand Timer

THE AIM

Get your team to guess as many Christmassy words as possible in 30 seconds. Every correct guess earns you a jigsaw piece. Complete your Christmas jigsaw first to win.

QUICK START (Jump Straight In)

1. Split into two teams.
2. Each team takes one jigsaw.
3. The team with the youngest player starts.
4. Roll the dice, flip the timer, start describing.
5. One correct guess = one jigsaw piece.
6. Complete your Santa jigsaw first to win.

GAME SET-UP

1. Split players into two teams (any size).
2. Each team takes the pieces for one complete jigsaw.
3. Place the Articulate Christmas cards, sand timer and dice where both teams can reach them.
4. The dice colours match the question colours on the cards.
5. Decide between all players whether passing is allowed, and how many per turn.
6. The team with the youngest player goes first.
7. Choose the first DESCRIBER (everyone must take a turn as Describer during the game).

HOW A TURN WORKS

1. The DESCRIBER rolls the dice.
2. The colour rolled is the question colour for that turn.
3. The opposing team flips the timer.
4. The DESCRIBER takes the top card from the deck and describes the word next to the matching colour.
5. As soon as the team guesses correctly:
▪ Drop the card
▪ Grab a new one
▪ Describe the word next to the same colour
6. Keep going until the timer runs out.
7. Now it is time for the opposing team to take a turn as the DESCRIBER.

SCORING & BUILDING THE GAME

  • Your score is the number of correct guesses.
  • Add one jigsaw piece per correct answer to your board.
  • Save the large Santa piece — it must be placed last to win.

WINNING THE GAME

The first team to complete their jigsaw — finishing with the big Santa piece — wins the game.
